Emerald Bay State Park is a California state park located around Emerald Bay at Lake Tahoe. It was designated in 1969 as a National Natural Landmark. Emerald Bay is Lake Tahoe's most photographed natural wonder, and was designated as an underwater state park—Emerald Bay Historic Barges—in 1994, the first park of its type in California.
